Despite some delays in arriving at Southampton to load and again in Malta to discharge (unavoidable), the whole process was incredibly professionally run. Seeing our new catamaran being craned on to the cargo ship was quite daunting, but the large team on board knew exactly what they were doing and instilled total confidence. So, not something you do every day, but I’d have no hesitation recommending and using Peters and May again should we decide to move our boat to another part of the world.
Leigh in the UK was brilliant from the first time he phoned to when we delivered our little boat into the compound at Eastleigh. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. He pointed out how we could reduce the cost by removing a bracket. When the shipping line altered the quay date after we had set off to deliver, he ensured the shipping company covered to cost of haulage. We wish we had used Peters & May in Oz, Taurus here were the complete opposite.
Many many of Cape 31’s delivered safely around the world. Peters and May have also been great partners of the Class. Great to work with
Peters and May are able to handle all the requirements for shipping my boat under “one roof.” This includes loading and unloading surveys for shipping, trucking arrangements, customs clearing etc etc.
I work as a Yacht Broker and on behalf of my client arranged the delivery of a 60ft wooden schooner yacht built in 1882 from UK to South Africa, via road transport to Antwerp. It has been a challenging project but made a lot easier with Peters and May. The communication from Lindsey in the UK and the rest of the team has been excellent. I would have no hesitation to recommend their services. Great job.
I used Peters & May To Ship a boat I purchased from the USA to the UK and have to say that every stage of the process was perfect Sasha my contact in the UK was a great communicator as was Ashley in the USA
I would highly recommend this company to anyone that wants great service and communication a job very well done
