FAQ

Transatlantic eastbound questions

When do eastbound transatlantic sailings operate?

Most eastbound sailings depart between February and May, after the Caribbean season and in time for the European summer.

Which Caribbean and US ports can I load from?

Typical load ports are Fort Lauderdale, Antigua, St Thomas and Tortola. We will confirm the most convenient port for your yacht’s location and timing.

Where can I discharge in Europe?

Common discharge ports are Palma, Genoa, Southampton and the ARA range. Other destinations are available on request.

How long does the crossing take?

The sea passage usually takes around 12–20 days, depending on origin, destination and vessel type.

Do you handle EU and UK customs on arrival?

Yes. We manage export, import and customs documentation at both ends, including temporary admission and VAT questions for EU arrivals.

What information do you need for a quote?

Yacht type, length, beam and draft; load and discharge ports; preferred month; cradle status; and any special requirements such as mast in or out, tender or spares.

When should I book?

As early as you can. Space fills ahead of the European season, and early booking gives more choice of sailing and port.
