Last weekend, the Peters & May Racing Logistics Team orchestrated one of its biggest achievements to date, loading over 443ft of state-of-the-art racing yachts after a busy racing season in UK waters. The yachts – Comanche 100 ft, Momo 72ft, Jethou 72 ft, Bella Mente 72 ft, Sorcha 52ft and Caro 65ft – were all loaded onto the 130 metre vessel Norjan in Southampton over two days by the Peters & May team of Loadmasters. The yachts, many of which the Peters & May team has worked with in the past, are now on their way to Olbia.
Peters & May Loadmaster, Paul Elsom, commented: “This was a technically challenging job with many considerations to factor in regarding how the yachts should be loaded. However, our team ensured that each yacht arrived on time and everything went smoothly. The yachts will be arriving in Olbia at the end of August ready to move on with their prospective racing schedules.”
Craig Stanbury, Operations Director, added: “We couldn’t resist the temptation to capture some shots of such a large shipment of prestigious racing yachts so we asked a photography company to bring their drone down to Southampton Docks and catch all the action. I think this shipment demonstrates just why the Peters & May Racing Logistics is trusted by the world’s top racing teams.”
