Peters & May is pleased to announce that it is now the preferred shipping agent for the new transatlantic rally – the Christmas Caribbean Rally. The CCR will leave from Marina Rubicon, Lanzarote on December 16th 2013 and arrive in the beautiful marina at Jolly Harbour, Antigua early in 2014. Unlike other transatlantic rallies, the CCR departs later in the season when the trade winds are likely to be well established while still leaving enough time for skippers and crews to make the most of the whole of the Caribbean sailing season – and where better to start the season than in Antigua, the hub of Caribbean yachting.
The later departure date also means that participants will spend the festive season at sea! This is already proving popular with families and groups of friends who want to do something ‘different’ for Christmas this year or who have limited holiday time available. You can book and secure a place up to 3 years ahead allowing skippers to plan well in advance.
The CCR is a very approachable event with the focus on the participants. The organisers have put together a great discounts package, including preferential rates from us here at Peters & May. If you want your yacht to be shipped home (or to anywhere else in the world) at the end of the rally, we will be happy to help. For any information, please contact our Caribbean Department:

There will be a great social and musical side to the rally including events covering local interest and culture (for example vineyards, volcanoes, local flora, fauna and wildlife) as well as more traditional parties and celebrations.
If you like the sound of this and you fancy crossing the Atlantic in a different way, with different people – and doing something different for Christmas & New Year – then please get in touch with the Sailing Rallies team. All the information is of course on their website at www.sailingrallies.com or feel free to call +44 845 257 5004 to speak to an experienced member of the team in more detail.
