After a few days of sea trials in Newport, Rhode Island, and a quick sail down to South Carolina, Comanche, the 100ft super maxi racing yacht is now safely on her way to Sydney courtesy of the global marine transport company Peters & May.
Constructed by the Comanche build team along with Hodgdon Yachts, Comanche is a pre-preg carbon racing yacht owned by noted yachtsman Jim Clark. She is set to make a name for herself during the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race this December; it’s is among the most influential in the world and covers 628 nautical miles.
It will be the first of many races for Comanche, and the team at Peters & May can’t wait to see her in action!
Check out the photos of her being loaded onto the MV Spirit of Melbourne in Charleston.
