Peters & May reflects on another successful year supporting the TP52 Super Series

As the 2024 TP52 SUPER SERIES season ends, Peters & May is proud to reflect on another successful year as the official transport supplier to the fleet. From complex transatlantic shipments to on-ground support, Peters & May’s expertise was critical in ensuring the smooth execution of the series’ logistics.

The 2024 season kicked off with PalmaVela Sailing Week, where Peters & May coordinated the logistics for ten yachts from seven nations, ensuring their timely transatlantic journey to Newport, Rhode Island. The team worked tirelessly, completing the loading of the entire fleet within just three days of PalmaVela’s conclusion—an impressive feat ahead of the XS 52 SUPER SERIES Newport Trophy and the Rolex TP52 World Championship, both hosted by the prestigious New York Yacht Club.

Vayu triumphed at the XS 52 SUPER SERIES Newport Trophy, overcoming tough conditions to claim the title in a highly competitive fleet. Meanwhile, Peters & May was also there to celebrate with Gladiator Sailing Team, who secured the 2024 Rolex TP52 World Championship title at the NYYC. This victory further cemented Peters & May’s close-knit relationship with the TP52 community.

Following the Newport events, Peters & May coordinated the fleet’s return to Europe aboard the BBC Georgia, ensuring the safe transport of yachts and equipment back to Palma, Mallorca, just in time for the Puerto Portals 52 SUPER SERIES Sailing Week and the Valencia 52 SUPER SERIES Royal Cup.

At Puerto Portals, Gladiator once again showcased their prowess, securing another win to add to their remarkable season. The final event of the season, the Valencia 52 SUPER SERIES Royal Cup, saw Platoon Aviation emerge victorious, rounding off a fiercely competitive 2024 season.

Peters & May was present in Valencia to support the final leg of the series, with key members of the Spanish and UK teams, including Elo, Naza, Inma, Victoria, Simon, Steve, and Anthony, ensuring the event ran smoothly. Their presence and hands-on support demonstrated Peters & May’s unwavering commitment to the TP52 fleet.

Beyond providing logistics, Peters & May has developed personal relationships with the racing teams over the last decade. Their bespoke services are crucial to the series’ success, ensuring efficient transportation every season.

As Peters & May celebrates another successful year, the company looks forward to continuing its long-standing partnership with the TP52 fleet into 2025 and beyond.

Michael Wood, Director at Peters & May, remarked on the year:
“It’s been another fantastic year working alongside the TP52 SUPER SERIES. Our team worked tirelessly both on the ground and behind the scenes to make sure everything ran smoothly. After nearly a decade, we’re proud to continue offering our support and expertise to this world-class racing series.”
