After 5 days of strong competition between 50 teams competing in the World Predator Classic, the well-known fishing series ends for another year. It was Radek Filip and Martin Tepka from the Czech Republic, sponsored by Westin, who won the competition with a total of 9 points. They now look forward to their places in the Angling Super Cup, as well as the prize fishing boat and tickets to ICAST in the US.
David Holley, Peters & May CEO was fishing on board a boat himself alongside Richard Wilson. With 6 team boats in total, Team Peters & May performed well and caught some incredible fish including a 114cm Pike. Dave Holley commented: “After sponsoring the World Predator Classic last year, it’s amazing to see how much the event has grown in just one year. I love fishing, so having the opportunity to be involved, competing as part of the Peters & May team was a privilege. We had a good few days fishing, along with the other teams and it was an honor to be representing both Peters & May and England”.
Now that the World Predator Classic has come to a finish, the fishing community look forward to the World Carp Classic which will be held in Lac de Madine, France, during September. This is the world’s largest Carp fishing competition, bring together hundreds of fishermen from across the globe.
Having shipped the prize boat from BassPro in the US to Hellevoetsluis in the Netherlands, Peters & May were available at the World Predator Classic to discuss any logistics requirements of the fishing teams. As experts in freight forwarding and boat transport; Peters & May are well placed to provide logistical support at all levels, whether is be a 90’ sports fish, a center console or tackle and spares.
