Vieni Rain o Shine Peters e May continua a consegnare al Southampton Boatshow 2017

Peters & May enjoyed an exciting 10 days at this year's Southampton Boat Show, with even the ‘British’ weather not able to keep the shipping enquiries coming in, combined with a number of popular events held on the stand we are already looking forward to next year’s show!
The team have exhibited at Southampton Boat Show for 15 years and it is a great opportunity to meet with the range of clients we take care of from private individuals, brokers, dealers and manufacturers to provide our expert shipping knowledge and advice for each ones bespoke logistical needs.

One of the key traditional events at the Southampton Boat Show for Peters & May was on Thursday afternoon which saw Peters & May present The Breast Unit Charity with a cheque for £32,580.19. Having worked with the charity for over 4 years now, the event to celebrate the fund raising efforts for this charity is at the heart of the Peters & May Southampton Boat Show experience.

CEO David Holley commented “We are incredibly proud that it has now become a tradition for us to hand over the cheque at the Southampton Boat Show as it’s a charity very close to all of us. We’ve been raising funds for the Breast Unit Charity for over 4 years now and 2017 has seen us continue to increase the amount of money raised through our annual clay pigeon shoot and our Pink Lashings initiative

Following the cheque presentation, Peters & May held their annual Caribbean Rum Party. This year, the focus had changed to allow the event to be dedicated to support and raise relief funds for the Caribbean Island communities that have been hit by hurricane Irma and Maria.
The event saw the celebration in true Caribbean style with a steel pan band accompanied by Old English Harbour rum cocktails served with Fever Tree mixers – all provided free of charge and hosted by Antigua & Barbuda Tourism, Antigua Sailing Week and the Peters & May Group with donations for this important cause being collected throughout the event.

Joshua Flavell, PR Manager at Peters & May remarked: “The Caribbean is a second home to many boat owners who return year after year. Having raced and cruised in the Caribbean in some of these fantastic places we wanted to show our support and this event seemed like the perfect place to do so"

Peters & May are looking forward to the next boat show in the calendar, Monaco Yacht Show starting tomorrow! Both Regional Managers from our Asia and Italian offices will be there as well as Group CEO, David Holley - if you would like to set up a meeting to discuss any shipping requirements email
