Peters & May Group hosted its renowned annual charity clay pigeon shoot in aid of the Breast Unit Charity on the 9th of June as part of its continued support for the charity.
Sixteen teams took part in the day, with Chris Head of Sunseeker London missing out on the top spot to Dominic Akers-Douglas of Constantine Group who shot exceptionally well, with last year’s winner Richard Matthew’s team putting in a fine show and taking third place.
Although the weather was typically British the spirits were high at Pennsport Shooting School in West Berkshire, guests of Peters & May Group were treated to a morning shoot followed by a gourmet barbecue lunch and drinks. The day concluded with a charity auction which raised an impressive total of over £30,000 for the Breast Unit Charity. Auction items included signed limited edition ‘Smile’ number 2 of 10 by artist Dean Fox, a week long villa stay in Corsica donated by Simpson Travel, and an RYA sailing day for two with members of the British Sailing Team.
The Breast Unit Charity continue to raise money and awareness so that they can improve the understanding and help find new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat different kinds of breast cancer
Giving women the chance to take part in ground-breaking research using cutting edge technologies. The charity has raised over £3 million in the past twelve years and has been able to conduct over 40 clinical trials, leading to new drugs receiving approval from the Food and Drugs Administration and the European Union as standard treatment.

He continued “This terrible disease affects everyone at some point in time, whether it be directly or through friends and family. Ashraf and his team at the Brest Cancer Unit do so much to help so many people and we are proud to be able to support such a worthy cause.”
