Peters & May concluded a busy summer show season last week. After Cannes, Southampton and Monaco, it’s now time to get back into the office and work through all the enquiries that have come in!
Robert Blades, Global Sales and Marketing Director, commented: “Summer is always a hectic time for the Peters & May show team, with Monaco Yacht Show the culmination of a month on the road seeing clients and new customers. With many evening events the Inaugural Gala Party, a drinks reception with APSA, Superyacht UK networking and 8 hours a day manning the stand, it was a tiring week!”
After a few quieter years for the industry, the yachting sector is really picking up, and this summer saw an increase in enquiries on the Peters & May stands.
Josh Flavell, Sales and Marketing Manager, said: “A highlight of the season had to be at Southampton Boat Show, where Peters & May were proud to present a cheque for £25,000 to Breast Cancer Clinical Trials. It was brilliant to have Amanda and Gill from the charity come down to the show and celebrate with us. Breast Cancer is a disease close to many of those who work at Peters & May, and we’re thrilled to be able to support such a forward thinking and innovative charity.”
The money has been raised over the past twelve months through the Pink Lashings scheme and the Peters & May annual charity auction.
Cannes Yachting Festival was no quieter, with multiple events including a drinks reception with Recreation Boat Holdings USA. Eric Ferchaud, Managing Director Peters & May France, remarked: “Cannes is always a great show for the French office, and it was brilliant to have some of the UK team over to join us. We’re now looking forward to a busy winter period!”
