Race Ready for Antigua Sailing Week’s 51st year

With less than 1 week to go before Antigua Sailing Week kicks off; Peters & May look forward to what is promised to be another fantastic edition. Marking the 51st Anniversary of Antigua Sailing Week; over 100 yachts will participate in one of the world’s most prestigious regattas. What better way to kick off such an exciting event than with the Peters & May Round Antigua Race on Saturday 28th April.

After all that racing, Peters & May think participants deserve a well-earned drink – of course it must be in Caribbean style! Our team welcome visitors to our evening event for the official Antigua Sailing Week opening party; hosted at the Presidente Beer Garden in Antigua Yacht Club. From 3pm onwards, the team will be cracking open the English Harbour Rum… the perfect partner to an ice-cold Fever Tree Ginger Beer. All participants are welcome to cash in coins at our happy hour, whilst we celebrate the winners of the Peters & May race at our prize giving ceremony. By mid-afternoon, the party is promised to be in full swing as participants enjoy the relaxed sunset sounds of DJ Undercover.

Craig Stanbury, Global Operations Director for Racing at Peters & May is excited to get started as he explains. “It is an honour to be opening Antigua Sailing Week 2018 with the Peters & May Round Antigua Race. As a key sponsor and participants first choice when it comes to yacht transport pre and post event, we are thrilled to be working alongside both regular and new clients as we ship their yachts home.”

Whether you are interested in speaking to our experts about your post-race logistical needs or you are simply in the mood for a drink with fellow participants to discuss the race; our team look forward to welcoming all to our party and wish all the Peters & May race participants the best of luck!
