Celebrating another successful year at Cannes Yachting Festival

Teaming with impressive yachts, thousands of sailing enthusiasts and suppliers from across the marine industry; Cannes Yachting Festival 2019 was a great success. After a washout on the first day of the show, scorching late summer temperatures graced the 51,000 visitors as they walked the jetties of Europe’s biggest boat show.

The international team included representatives from our French, UK, Italian and Asian offices. Peters & May CEO David Holley was also at the show, speaking to a range of visitors around their future logistics requirements. Enquiries included shipping a Galeon 430 from Antwerp to Nice and a Sunseeker 68 from the Mediterranean to Caribbean. We had numerous enquiries across our popular routes including those for the upcoming Genoa to Sharjah Abu Dhabi Grand Prix sailing in October.

Kristina Webster, Leisure Boat Brand Manager at Peters & May gave her comments on the success of this years show; “Cannes never disappoints in drawing a crowd. At the centre of the European yachting market the event is a mecca for business throughout the region. We had a great few days, gaining lots of enquiries. Also, it’s always nice to see some of the yachts we shipped in for the show on display.”

Our team now head back to a slightly cooler UK, where they join colleagues already exhibiting at Southampton Boat Show. Located close to the popular Sunseeker stand; Peters & May welcome visitors to Stand CO14 where logistics experts will be on hand to chat. Renowned for shipping yachts worldwide; Peters & May offer a diverse range of marine logistics support. Aside from charter, part-charter and liner sailings shipping yachts worldwide; in-house airfreight specialists offer fast, urgent shipment of part, spares and documents. If you are heading to Southampton drop by for a coffee and a chat with our experts.
