Last week saw Peters & May’s expert yacht shipping teams heading to Miami International Boat Show for the 11th year running. Labelled as ‘the show that has it ALL’ this year’s 5-day event certainly didn’t disappoint with over 10,000 visitors in attendance from across the globe.
Peters & May’s Floridian based US team attended Miami’s Boat Show, Yacht Show and Superyacht Show alongside Peters & May CEO David Holley and Luca Curreli, a representative from our Italian office. Meeting existing and new clients, our teams took to the show with great success as Matt Penfold Managing Director of Peters & May USA explained “Miami is THE show for our team here in Florida. It creates a great opportunity for us to meet with US boat manufacturers and private individuals to understand their logistics requirements”.
With an extensive collection of luxury Superyachts, Miami’s Boat Show’s always draw great crowds, but more importantly they create a ‘hub’ for marine activity in the US. David Holley was on hand to speak to Superyacht owners and manufacturers and discuss the various transportation methods available to transport Superyachts of great size. A brilliant example being Utopia IV, which Peters & May shipped from New York to Genoa using Flo-Flo technology earlier this year.
Now that Miami International Boat Show has come to a close, Peters & May look towards Dubai Boat Show which kicks off next week. Following the expansion of our team in the Middle East region over the past year, it is set to be our best show yet across the Middle Eastern market.
