A successful first year sponsoring the World Predator Classic 2018

For the very first time, this year Peters & May were official sponsors of Angling Spirits’ World Predator Classic which took place in The Netherlands last week. A diverse and well renowned angling competition; the series aspires to travel the globe, something which Peters & May as a global bespoke logistics company are pleased to assist with, having transported various cargo for the event. As well as shipping equipment for sponsors and teams alike, the company also transported a number of boats for the event.

Last week the competition returned to the Netherlands; with fishing taking place across the vast 11,663-hectare water of Haringvliet which stretches an incredible 1/3 of the width of The Netherlands! That’s a large fishing territory and this year it certainly produced some bountiful catches of Pike, Zander and Perch in the predatory boat angling competition.

Peters & May themselves had our very own angling teams out on the water. All anglers made a fantastic job of bringing in the catches thick and fast, with the Peters & May teams featuring on the final leader board. The Peters & May team of fishermen Tomasz Kumik and Piotr Wojnowski secured the title for catching the biggest fish of the entire competition, with a pike caught measuring 113cm in length!

We caught up with David Holley, CEO of Peters & May after the event to see what his thoughts were following our first year as an official sponsor; “It’s fantastic to be involved in such a brilliant competition. As a market leader in Marine Racing Logistics, we are no strangers to competitive sports and the logistics involved so it is a pleasure to be on hand for logistics requirements of an angling competition like the World Predator Classic. Our anglers did a fantastic job! It was great fun to watch the tournament unfold – there was some first-class professional fishing this year that I can only aspire to!”.

With the competition coming to a close and summer well on its way; Peters & May, as global leaders in Leisure Boat Transport look forward to a busy season of sailings, opening up new fishing grounds to many a keen angler as we transport their boats worldwide.
