A message from Peters & May’s CEO, Dave Holley

What an outstanding year 2015 has been for Peters & May. With our turnover hitting £40 million and our global business now boasting a 75 strong team, our company has gone from strength to strength, expanding into new markets and geographies while strengthening partnerships to support major events with our unique approach to shipping logistics.

We kicked off the year with the announcement that Peters & May would once again support the Transatlantic Race as Official Logistics Partner. This saw our specialist Racing Logistics Department shipping some of the largest and most well known racing yachts across the globe. This news was supplemented by announcements that we would sponsor the 2015 Powerboat Racing season, the H1 Unlimited season and the British Sailing Team’s Road to Rio.

In the summer, the Peters & May annual charity shoot in aid of Breast Cancer Clinical Trials raised over £20,000 for our chosen charity. Many people from across the maritime industry joined us to help raise awareness and funds for the charity which promotes the importance of clinical trials in the prevention, diagnoses and treatment of breast cancer, giving women the chance to take part in ground breaking research using cutting edge technologies. August also saw us achieve renewed ISO: 9001 certification, reinforcing our commitment to quality throughout our operations.

In the autumn, we were pleased to be the Official Freight Forwarder for the Qatar International Boat Show amid a great deal of new activity in the Middle East. Peters & May also opened its first Italian office in the bustling port of Genoa, the busiest port in Italy with a trade volume of over 51.6 million tonnes each year. With Peters & May shipments regularly calling in Genoa, it's a strategically important office for us.

2016 and beyond

Looking ahead, Peters & May is continuously developing its strategic business objectives, and this year has seen the group respond to anticipated future growth by refreshing the structure of its trading companies. We are therefore delighted to announce that on January 1st, 2016, Peters & May Global Logistics integrated with Peters & May Limited. In coming together, the group is able to combine its global expertise and resources and further improve its class leading service. This is an important step forward for the business and will open up a wide range of opportunities for both the company and our valued clients.

2015 has been an excellent year for us all, thanks to the continued support of our clients and colleagues around the world. 2016 is set to be an even more exciting time for Peters & May, with a more complete service to complement the growth of our global business.
