2017 Round Up

With the continued focus on growth, exceeding customers’ expectations and pushing the boundaries of providing the optimum bespoke logistics solutions, 2017 has been an exciting and evolutionary year for the Peters & May Group.

The year began with the Group, acquiring two patented load systems - ‘Flat Rail’ & ‘Cat Cradle –allowing Peters & May the ability to provide clients with a revolutionary alternative to expensive break bulk shipments. The acquisition has flourished through the year – with the technology being used in Europe and North America – further demonstrating Peters & May’s desire to the push the boundaries of what is possible.

In parallel, Peters & May were proud to announce that the Commercial team had grown from strength to strength – having been involved in many big challenges including the transportation of an 52-meter Austal Alu Cat fast-ferry from the island of New Caledonia in the South Pacific, 14,700 miles to Piraeus in Greece. Plus, wind turbines, pilot boats and workboats throughout 2017.

Alongside the Commercial team, the Peters & May marine departments have orchestrated many logistics jobs from shipping the Wally Power 118 Superyacht from the Maldives to the Mediterranean to providing a custom solution to ship the former Whitbread Farr 58’ yacht ‘Maiden’ home to Southampton, UK. In addition, it has been a busy year for Simon Beck, our Customs and VAT Manager, who has worked with many clients to ensure an optimum solution from planning to execution is provided.

As well as providing bespoke logistics solutions across all our regions, Peters & May Group have been proud to announce a range of new partnerships throughout the year. In May, Peters & May was appointed as a Preferred Logistics Supplier to Sunseeker International due to the identified need for the support of an all-encompassing logistics solution for Sunseeker factory, its dealers and valued clients.
