On Thursday night Peters & May, Sunseeker and the Princess Alexandra Hospital Breast Cancer Clinical Trials charity hosted a very special event at the London Boat Show to raise money for the charity that changes the lives of women suffering with breast cancer. 80 guests were present at the private pink drinks reception on the Sunseeker stand and were serenaded by the Academy of Contemporary Music Gospel Choir. The reception helped raise over £20,000 for the charity, making all of the hard work worthwhile.
A very enjoyable evening was had by all, in particular, Peters & May, as it has been dedicated to supporting the incredible charity for over two years, and continues to do so with its Pink Lashings campaign. Based in Epping, the PAH Breast Cancer Clinical Trials charity fundraises for specialist clinical trials equipment, introducing new initiatives and supporting further research. The charity also aims to improve the understanding of the disease leading to new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat breast cancer.
CEO of Peters & May David Holley said: “We are enormously proud to be associated with this amazing charity and it was a privilege for us to be part of this event. The money raised will go a long way to helping the charity continue its amazing work, and you too can support them by buying a raffle ticket until Sunday the 18th of January!”
The Pink Lashings campaign allows customers to donate to a good cause whilst shipping their yacht. A donation of £5 for each lashing strap is charged to the owner, whilst Peters & May match this to provide a total donation of £10 to the charity for each strap used.
