A proud supporter
The Breast Unit charity works at the front line of breast cancer treatment aiming to raise awareness of the importance of clinical trials in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, giving women the chance to take part in ground-breaking research using cutting edge technologies. Since the charity was founded over ten years ago, it has raised over £3 million.
Since 2014 Peters & May has been a proud supporter of this charity and continues to raise funds to help support the charity through its annual clay pigeon shoot and the pink lashing initiative, which enables our clients to support the charity with us.
Peters & May CEO, David Holley, commented: “We’ve been supporting Breast Cancer Clinical Trials now for several years and have raised over £35,000 during this time with the charity shoots and our pink lashings initiative. We would like to thank all of those who attended and gave generously to allow us to reach our target, without whom none of this would have been possible. This charity is hugely close to my heart having lost my mother to this disease, and we’re honoured to have been able to support them in this way.”

Nearly 8 out of 10 women in the UK now survive breast cancer beyond 10 years; it is the charity’s hope that our work will increase this number. We are delighted that Peters & May has chosen to support us. The use of our charity’s colour for their striking lashing straps will help to raise awareness while the kind donations from both yacht owners and the company itself will enable us to make a real difference with our work.
