Peters & May Ltd Acquires Complete Freight

World leader in provision of marine logistics, Peters & May Ltd is pleased to announce the acquisition of UK based performance yacht and motorboat logistics provider Complete Freight.

Acquisition Team

The company and its directors, Angus Bruce Jones and Simon Judson, together with their staff will become wholly absorbed into the Peters & May global operation. They will be based at the UK headquarters in Southampton.

On making the announcement, Peters & May's Managing Director Jan Rydgren- Knudsen said, 'The acquisition of Complete Freight is a strategic move for us and forms part of our ongoing business development. As a major operator in the marine logistics industry we seek to identify sectors and territories that offer market opportunities and target them by internal expansion or tactical acquisition. Complete Freight's extensive presence in the international yacht racing circuit and the abilities of Angus and Simon to have grown a successful company with high profile clients was key to their appeal to us.'

Founded in 2004 by Angus and Simon, Complete Freight has become one of the acknowledged leaders in marine logistics for international race events, individual yacht race campaigns and team supplies and spares. The service offered to race campaigns extends beyond the simple shipping of yachts and race support containers. They have direct relationships with key manufacturers in the yachting industry so can support campaign teams' requirements for quick supply and delivery of spares to any yacht, anywhere in the world.

Angus Bruce Jones, Director of Complete Freight explained their decision to support the acquisition. 'Simon and I have developed our company over the last few years and with the support of valued clients gained recognition as one of the key players in the niche, yacht racing market. However, we acknowledged that to further expand our business offering, the support of a company such as Peters & May, who have a strong network of owned offices and appointed agents throughout the world, was critical.'

Having shipped some of the highest profile race yachts, spares and masts and supported major international events the skills and experience of Angus Bruce Jones and Simon Judson will be a huge asset to Peters & May's own client base. Jan Rydgren-Knudsen continued, 'Complete Freight's ethos and culture of delivering customer service at the highest level is one that has earned them respect from a demanding sector of the marine industry. On all levels of operation it mirrors our own so I look forward to introducing them to our team and our clients and working with them on future projects.'
