WalleniusWilhelmsen Logistics (WWL) has appointed Peters & May Limited as its sub-contractorfor freight and logistics solutions for the Volvo Ocean Race 2008/2009, one ofthe most gruelling round-the-world yacht races.

WWLwas appointed in May 2007 as the Official Logistics Partner to the 2008/2009Volvo Ocean Race (VOR). Peters& May will work closelytogether with the WWL VOR Logistics Team to developlogistics solutions for the race which covers in excess of 30,000 nautical miles(45,000 kms) and takes in Europe, the Middle East, India, Singapore, China,USA, Ireland and Russia.

The 2008-2009 Volvo Ocean Race commences in Alicante, Spain in 11 October 2008,and finishes eight months later in northern Europe in late June 2009.
