All four AC yachts for the La Maddalena LV Trophy event have arrived safely into the small port over the weekend. World marine logistics leader, Peters and May, arranged the transport of the AC Yachts, RIBs, equipment and containers in order for the event to be a possible.
Peters and May loaded the two BMW Oracle yachts in Auckland five weeks ago on a large deep sea vessel which steamed north bound for Antwerp. The yachts were last week transshipped near Vigo, Spain onto a small Mediterranean coaster vessel that was small enough to call La Maddalena port. The small coaster then visited Valencia where Peters and May loaded the Mascalzone yachts and other equipment also required for the same event.
By Sunday 3rd at 20:00 all items were safely unloaded in Maddalena with three weeks to go before the first race.
